CST.jpeg

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a form of bodywork or alternative therapy using gentle touch to palpate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium to relieve pain and tension by gentle manipulations of the skull regarded as harmonizing with a natural rhythm in the central nervous system. A practitioner of cranial-sacral therapy may also apply light touches to a patient's spine and pelvic bones.

Benefits and uses

CST helps to  relieve compression in the head, neck, and back. This can soothe pain and release both emotional and physical stress and tension. It’s also thought to help restore cranial mobility and ease or release restrictions of the head, neck, and nerves.

CST has been used to treat wide variety of conditions including but not limited to the following :

  • Migraines and headaches

  • Neck pain

  • Trauma recovery, including trauma from whiplash
